What this work is
The communities that built us are repaid in kind. Not as a CSR programme — as a debt the family chooses to settle.
Four institutions. A K-12 school, a women's arts university, a general hospital, and a cattle sanctuary. Each was funded and is supported on an ongoing basis.
The work is quiet, local, and meant to compound.
Section 03 · Four institutions
Four places that endure.
JB & KARP Vidya Sankul
A K-12 school in Surat — fee-subsidised, mixed-income enrolment, English-medium with Gujarati anchor.
Surat, India
JB Dharuka Mahila Arts University
An arts and humanities university for women — undergraduate degrees, residential campus, scholarship-led intake.
Dharuka, India
General Hospital
A general hospital serving Surat — outpatient, inpatient, and surgical care across general medicine and women's health.
Surat, India
Kodhiar Ma Gaushala
A working cattle sanctuary in Shedawadar — care, shelter, and end-of-life dignity for cows rescued across Gujarat.
Shedawadar, India
Section 04 · Operating principles
How we give back.
Build, don't sponsor.
Each institution was founded — not endowed. The family is on the operating committee, not just the donor list.
Local by design.
Every institution sits in Gujarat — within an hour of Surat. The communities that built the group are the communities that benefit.
Education as foundation.
Two of the four institutions are educational. A school for K-12, a women's arts university — both fee-subsidised, both standing.
Beyond people.
The Kodhiar Ma Gaushala extends the duty of care to cattle — a Gujarati tradition, run as a working sanctuary.
Some of our oldest work is the quietest.
For partnership conversations, philanthropic introductions, or visits to any of the institutions — we'd be glad to hear from you.
